Technical knowledge chunks on break time
I take a five minute break after twenty five minutes of focused work. Three rounds of them plus an extra twenty five minutes and a fifteen minutes break complete a Pomodoro cycle. My short breaks are for reading technical knowledge of my interest to continue what I achieved with brilliant.org. My long break is for reading something less informative to keep on developing my reading visualization technique.
Reading technical content during short breaks expands my knowledge and complements my skillset. It seems that doesn't add much but I've been able to move forward with my business management studies. My plan for the future is to make a company based on that technical knowledge and my work experience. I can't promise that it will be a tech company but I am sure I'll be running my own company anyway.
Currently, I'm reading about the principles of economy because in spite of attending business management and getting a certification, I didn't know how money works. Once I'm done with it, I will continue with books about finance, accounting and other related content. However, I won't exclude other resources that could work as inspiration for creating my dream company. Who knows, maybe biology or astronomy can give me hints for an organizational model.
I will take a long time learning and failing until I get to a point where I know that my company will work. It's not because most people say so but the real reason is that I want to experiment with alternative organizational and economic models. My goal is to run a company that not only includes money in its business plan but other aspects of human life. This is not new I know, but I want to innovative on how to do it.
I'd also like to spend my short breaks finding small potential business I could invest my money it. Part of my financial plan is to get a regular income to pay the bills to give some freedom to develop my own ideas. I wish myself good luck!
